Pilates

Clinical Pilates is a modified form of traditional Pilates developed by physiotherapists which, focusses on activating your core muscles whilst performing various functional movements.  It can help correct muscle imbalance &/or weakness. Improve flexibility, core and body strength. Improve posture and body awareness. 


Traditional Pilates was devised by Joseph Pilates, who was influential in rehabilitating the wounded in hospitals in the early 1900s and further working with elite sports and dance people.


Delinda is Certified Pilates Instructor with the APPI ( Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute). She has extensive knowledge of how to modify exercises to keep the sessions interesting and make sure you are developing and progressing in the right direction.

Why Physiotherapy Lead Pilates?


As a Chartered Physiotherapist and Certified APPI Pilates Instructor you will be in safe hands what ever level you may be, complete beginner or advanced. There are extensive variations to the core Pilates exercises. These can be modified to make them harder or easier with, or without the use of equipment.


Following COVID equipment can no longer be provided. When you sign up for your course a kit bag including, a small and large theraband, a small ball and spoken massage balls will need to be purchased for £20. You will also be asked to bring your own mat to the session.


Before commencing Pilates, there is a health screening form we ask all participants to complete so we are able to look after your individual needs correctly. It's best to wear comfortable, stretch clothing which will allow you to move freely.

Group Pilates

Beginner & Intermediate Group Pilates

Tuesday and Thursday 8pm at Fleet Fitness.

6 week courses at £60

When attending for the first time, you are required to purchase an equipment bag. This includes a pilates balls, bands and spikes massage balls.

Mats are no longer provided due to COVID.

One to One Pilates

Based at Fleet Fitness or my home.

One to one sessions allow you to work on specific rehabilitation to build confidence to then attend group sessions if required.
